01Controller and scope
This policy applies to Arcade 501 2.0.3 for Android, provided by Studio501. It explains the information processed locally by the app.
For privacy or support questions, contact studio501.dev@gmail.com or contact@studio501.fr.
02Offline operation
Arcade 501’s 18 games and all gameplay data work entirely offline, with no account, ads, in-app purchases, subscriptions, analytics, telemetry, remote crash reporting, social features, or gameplay-related network service.
The app does not transmit any profile, display name, score, record, statistic, progress, setting, or sensor data to Studio501, Google, or any third party.
03Data stored on the device
Arcade 501 may save the following in the app’s private storage on your device:
- sound, vibration, and reduced-motion settings, together with tutorial display state;
- campaign and Mission 501 progress, games, scores, records, durations, streaks, levels, achievements, and last-played dates;
- the last game, selected participants, and technical values needed to continue local sessions;
- up to six local profiles with a display name, colour, and separate records for each game.
A non-empty display name is required for each selected participant; unused slots may remain empty. This can be a first name, nickname, or pseudonym of up to 24 characters. A legal identity is not required.
All this information remains in the app’s internal storage. Studio501 cannot access it.
04Sensors and controls
Tilt Maze uses the gravity sensor or accelerometer only while its game screen is active. Readings are used immediately to move the ball, remain in memory, and are not stored, linked to a profile, or transmitted.
Touch controls are available as an alternative. Arcade 501 does not use the camera, microphone, or location.
05Permissions, advertising, and tracking
Arcade 501 requests no INTERNET permission, other network permission, or sensitive Android permission. It uses no advertising identifier and integrates no advertising, analytics, or tracking SDK. Update checks are handled by the Google Play app installed on the device without adding this permission to Arcade 501.
The app does not access contact details, location, contacts, personal photos, videos or files, messages, calendars, identifiers, financial data, health data, browsing history, or usage analytics data.
06Google Play, purchase, and updates
Any purchase and installation are handled by Google Play. Arcade 501 may ask the official Google Play In-App Updates system whether a newer version is available and display the flexible update flow provided by Google Play. The user can continue playing while the update downloads; installation remains managed by Google Play.
To determine update availability and expected size, Google Play may process device metadata, the app version, and the list of installed modules or asset packs. According to Google, this data is encrypted, is not transferred to third parties, and is deleted after a fixed retention period. Google Play’s rules govern this processing.
No profile, display name, score, record, statistic, progress, setting, or sensor data is sent for this check. All 18 games remain usable offline when the update check is unavailable. Arcade 501 receives no payment card number, banking details, or transaction details.
07Retention, backup, and deletion
Local data remains on the device until you remove it. The reset option in settings deletes profile names, records, statistics, campaign and Mission 501 progress, and achievements.
This reset preserves comfort preferences and certain technical values, including tutorial display state. To remove everything, clear Arcade 501’s data in Android settings or uninstall the app.
Android cloud backup and automatic transfer to another device are disabled. Studio501 keeps no server copy and cannot remotely delete this data.
08Children and social features
Arcade 501 does not transmit information about children or adults. Profiles are local and are not public accounts. The app offers no chat, online leaderboard, or content publishing.
A pseudonym may be used, and sensitive information should not be entered as a profile name.
09Security
Gameplay data is stored in the isolated internal area assigned to Arcade 501 by Android. The fact that it is not transmitted limits exposure. The only technical exchanges associated with the official update mechanism are encrypted in transit by Google Play according to its operation. No system can guarantee absolute security, so protect access to your device.
